Neko Candle Co is a small team of one, Bel!

Located in a small town in the Wollondilly shire, home of the Gundangurra Aboriginal people, Bel is also a proud Wiradjuri women herself.

Neko is the Japanese name for "Cat", as you can probably tell I adore them! Bel is a former qualified vet nurse but also helped manage a cat rescue which is located in western Sydney, during that time she helped foster sick, abused or stray kittens that were deemed not suitable by most for rehoming..

Every one of our candles are made in small batches, hand-poured with love and is unique just like our beautiful customers.

Most mass-produced candles are made with paraffin wax.  While paraffin wax has superior scent throw, paraffin is derived from petroleum and is not environmentally friendly or sustainable.   

While soy wax is becoming more popular and is a cheaper wax option, it doesn't have ideal burn qualities as the wax has difficulty throwing the scent of a candle. 

The wax that we have decided to use is coco apricot crème which is a premium wax that gives a luxury feel to each candle. This natural blend of apricot and coconut waxes is amongst the finest in the world. It features exceptional adhesion and looks absolutely stunning in glass with its creamy silky smooth appearance. 

You won't find this type of candle in big box stores! 

Yes, it’s a bit more expensive in comparison to other waxes, but the quality is worth it!

We make sure that we only use eco-friendly products which can be reused or recycled. If you have any suggestions on what we could change let us know.
